Our writing competition runs monthly, with a new theme announced on the 1st of every month. Winners will be published both on the website and in a dedicated anthology, all whilst making a difference to our planet.

We believe that every person has an impact on helping our world and its animals. We can all do small things that collectively have a big impact, and for us, that impact starts here.

Charities

Every trimester, half of the proceeds and entry fees for the writing competition go towards an environmentally inspired charity. The other half of the entry fee will be put into a pot to produce the Anthology at the end of the year. To find out more about the 3 causes we support

The deadline is fast approaching... With just 2 weeks to go until the closing date, we over here at those that breathe hope your pens are flowing! Madeline Bennett won the May category with her haunting tale about the plight of the great horned owl, definitely worth a read! If you haven't done so already, head to the those that breathe website and read our wonderful runner up poem by Peter Kennedy! Less than 10 days to go until the deadline for our May competition: Animal Perspectives! Our top too this month were really impactful and left with a powerful 'act now's message. Congratulations to our amazing winning entry. We got some really inspirational pieces this month, and can't wait to see what comes next! The deadline for this month is fast approaching!
